- PacketCluster database * ROSTER * v1.00
-
- This is a sample database you may use to maintain a local club roster.
- Add member data yourself. Allows members to update their record. It
- is similar to example in the PacketCluster Manual, Section 2, page 26,
- on Database Support, but provided here for those who feel uneasy about
- putting a database together.
-
- Using a file editor, edit in your club name in the #LIS and #PRE records.
- You can add in the club members following the example record format for
- K6PBT, preceding each record with the member's callsign and terminating
- each record with &&. Usually the "Previous calls:" and "First licensed:"
- may not be known, but you can add in those fields and leave blank if you
- want. Then leave a message to the members asking them to check their
- roster entry and correct/add-in any information using the UPDATE command.
-
- While you're viewing/editing the ROSTER.FUL, make note of the install
- info in the #INSTALL record.
-
- After completing any editing of the ROSTER.FUL file you will need to run
- the MAKEIDX.EXE utility included with your PacketCluster software. Type
- MAKEIDX ROSTER.FUL 600.
-
- Hope this helps to get you started.
-
- 73 & DX, Chuck K6PBT
